Chapter 2 & 3 of Blogs, Wikis and Podcasts

In read chapter 2 of “Blogs,Wikis, Podcast, and other Powerful Web Tools for the classrooms” by Will Richardson he state that everyone is not a blogger and that two-third of people that have a blog will go for more than two month without posting anything on their blog and I do agree with him because I would probably be one of those two-thirds. But I do believe that setting up a blog page for the classroom is a go ideal because it can give the student a chance to voice their opinion on different subject, and it can create a learning environment outside of the classroom.
I wish that I would have read Chapter 3 before I set up my blog because I have learn a lot about blog and in the chapter it even show picture of how it should look. It walk a person through setting up a blog. In this chapter it discussed that   when you start your blog for the first time to start small. It also stated that Weblogs can be a learning experience not only for the teacher but also for the student. After read this chapter I feel a little more comfortable about post item on my blog.

  1. Iris, I completely agree with you. I have a great blog I started and was really on top of it for a few months and then things started getting busy at school, coaching started, family obligations, etc. My blog went from amazing to blah and no one wanted to follow it anymore because I rarely ever posted.I think with the advice from the book, one good weekly post would be great!
